After winning the final round of the Swedish Rallly Championships on Friday and Saturday, Thomas went to Kinnekulle to try to alter his luck in rallycross.
Fourth time in the first qualifying round boded well, but an oilpipe failure on the starting line in the second round put an end to the hope of a successful ending of the rallycross season.
There were som further damage, and in the short time availible, although some heroics, the team didn’t get the car running in time for the third round. That meant that the day was over, and the trip home to Umeå in northern Sweden suddenly felt much longer than it had seemed to just 20 hours ago.
